Nov 5/6 Meteors
November 6, 2008 9 Comments
Last night saw clear conditions at Tucson and San Diego. Both sites were dealing with off-and-on cirrus for the past few nights which is why the results (especially for SDG) were lower than usual.
Last night’s Tucson results are similar to those from the past few nights. The San Diego camera, which can see much fainter meteors, saw quite a number of Taurids, especially Southern Taurids which outnumbered their Northern counterparts by a factor of 2 to 1.
With the Southern Taurids at their peak, remember to remain on the look-out for Taurid fireballs at all hours of the night.
